Jim Shepherd, Chief Operating Officer since 2022, has over 40 years’ experience in shipbuilding, offshore construction, and the oil and gas sector. He oversees Davie’s repair, new construction, and facilities operations. After gaining hands-on experience, he climbed the ranks to hold senior roles across Canada. Before joining Davie in 2021, he spent 25 years in East Coast shipbuilding and offshore construction and 12 years in the oil and gas sector in Western Canada and the United States. Coming from a family of shipbuilders, Jim is proud to be part of the Davie team. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Saint Mary’s University in Nova Scotia.
