Pierre-André Gignac holds the position of Vice-President, Health, Safety, Security and Environment. He is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all aspects of strategies, processes, and systems related to health, safety, security, and environment (HSSE) for Davie’s shipbuilding and ship repair programs. Originally from Québec City, Pierre-André joined Davie after serving as senior director, HSE at Rio Tinto in Montréal, a group operating mining and industrial sites worldwide. He has also held various positions in this field in the mining, manufacturing, forestry, and pulp and paper sectors, as well as in the chemical and plastics industries, with companies such as PolyOne Corporation, Uniboard, Hydro-Québec, Cliffs, ArcelorMittal, and IPEX. Pierre-André holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Université Laval and a master’s degree in Project Management from Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières.
