Ray Gallant joined Davie in 2019 to establish the Royal Canadian Navy’s Naval Repair Centre of Excellence for the life extension program of the Halifax Class Frigates. He brings over 20 years’ experience in the shipbuilding and ship repair industry, along with a strong background in process improvement. As professional industrial engineer, Ray is leading the modernization program for Davie’s Lévis shipyard for the construction of Canada’s future fleet. He also oversees the repair, production, and facilities operations teams. Throughout his career, he has worked at Irving Shipbuilding, Canadian Maritime Engineering Ltd., and Atlantica Mechanical (a Cahill Group company), where he held multiple positions in engineering, operations, project coordination, and business management. Ray holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Dalhousie University.
