Richard Alie has been with Davie since 1987, holding various positions of increasing responsibility. He was Vice President, Operations from 2019 to 2024, and has since been Deputy Vice President, Operations. His broad field experience is a major asset to the company, particularly due to his background as a carpenter joiner, foreman, and service and finishing workshop manager. His in depth expertise in production, developed at companies such as Polycor and Bocenor Group, contributes directly to the success of our projects. In his current role, Richard is responsible for coordinating yard operations, including maintenance and production work, equipment acquisition, dry docking, safety, collective agreement negotiations, development projects, and budgeting for naval operations. He has also served in the Canadian Armed Forces and has advanced qualifications in industrial safety.
