Lévis, Québec, June 25, 2013: Chantier Davie Canada Inc. (« Davie ») is pleased to announce that Mr Sylvain Gendron’s has joined the Davie team in the role of STQ Program Director.
Sylvain will be responsible for management and organization of two STQ ferries new builds that were announced last month. Prior to joining Davie, Sylvain has spent 20+ years in the Marine & Transportation Industries. After graduating from the Institute Maritime du Québec in Naval Architecture, he started his shipbuilding career at MIL-Davie. Although Sylvain’s career has taken him throughout North America with Bombardier and Internationally most recently with Transport Desgagnés where he was responsible for the new build of a DP Vessel in Croatia he has decided to focus his professional activities in Québec where his career began. His qualifications extend from Project Management, Engineering, Procurement and Quality to Subcontract Management thus being a real added value for our company. Sylvain took office on Monday, June 10, 2013 and complements our new team at Davie. We wish him great success.
