Paul Barrett has been CCO at Davie since 2021, overseeing the company’s global reputation and key relationships. With over 25 years’ experience, he has played a pivotal role in industry-defining deals valued at more than US$100 billion. In 2023, he contributed to Davie’s acquisition of Finland’s Helsinki Shipyard, establishing Davie as the world leader in Arctic shipbuilding. Paul began his career as a journalist with the BBC in London and has worked in various countries, including 12 years in Asia. Before Davie, he led international external affairs for global pharmaceuticals group Novartis and Neptune Orient Lines in the maritime sector. He also served as Hong Kong correspondent for Lloyd’s List. Paul holds a bachelor’s degree in Media and Journalism, and has completed executive education at INSEAD and IMD.
